I've been trying to expand my food vocabulary. A few years ago if it didn't come in a box with a name brand logo on it I didn't cook it.
I've definitely opened my eyes to the beautiful rainbow of tastes, colors, textures, and smells that real food has to offer. It can be scary trying new things, but think about the deliciousness (in food and life) you may be missing out on by saying, "I'll pass."
So as I sit here and snack on my organic almonds and dried cranberries let me share with you some daring food finds from Pinterest.
Roasted Veggie and Black Bean Burrito
Kale Chips with Miso Dipping Sauce
Creamy Avocado Pasta
5 Spice Turkey & Lettuce Wraps
Apple Cheddar Grilled Cheese

When I was at my bff's he had a few cups of greek yogurt I tried one and it was delicious and I heard it's great for all recipes and instead of sour cream it also good on tacos and nachos. I love it a lot ant its also organic.
For me, the creamy avocado pasta is something unique. I'm kinda surprised with the combination. What I know is that avocado can only be used as smoothie or fruit shake. I'd love to try this but I don't know the recipe. I just hope you can also share it here. Also, can I use coconut oil instead of olive oil when cooking it?
OMG avocado is great for SO many things: salads, grilled cheese sandwiches, smoothies. Here's the link to the recipe above from Pinterest http://pinterest.com/pin/230598443391605425/
And a BIG FAT YES for cooking with coconut oil! Try to get the virgin organic kind like Nutiva or Tropical Traditions. I use it for frying foods, making homemade popcorn, baking substitute for butter, it has SO many great cooking uses. Just type coconut in the search box above and you can check out some of the ways I use it!
