Fresh Idea Friday: A "Cool" Way to Preserve Fresh Herbs

Happy Friday Granolaville Peeps!

I've been toiling away all summer tending to our home garden. I've only come into one dilemma (unless you count not growing ANY broccoli because it all went to seed and began flowering, but I digress).

I've got too many herbs to handle! I know this is not really a problem, but when you grow an OVER ABUNDANCE, no amount of tomato sauce, pesto, or salsa can handle, what's a crunchy girl to do?

Then, like a gift from the Universe, this was handed me on a shiny ice cube tray! Check out THIS nifty solution to an herby dilemma:

Step 1: Finely chop up your fresh herbs.

Step 2: Gently wash them with cool water

Step 3: Place in a clean ice cube tray.

Step 4: Fill with olive oil, melted butter, or coconut oil.

Step 5: Stick in the freezer and pop out whenever you need them!
